CONGRATULATIONS to...
Chris Billett - Orange County, CA - SCSFe 2003 & 2005
Chris? screenplay "Unrest" was produced in 2006. The film is scheduled for nationwide release on November 17th, 2006, as part of the 8 Films to Die For series, distributed by After Dark Films. Chris has previously optioned material and was recently featured in Scr(i)pt Magazine?s HOT SHEET column. He is represented by the Agency for the Performing Arts.
Paul Clingan - Plano, TX - SCSFe 2006
Paul Clingan, who won two Actors' Choice Awards in 2006 with "Karst" and "Division One Rules", just won the 2007 Austin Film Festival Pitchfest with "Seventeen Days".
Chuck Conaway - Santa Fe, NM - SCSFe 2001 - 2007
Chuck's film Waiting for Dublin has been officially accepted to the Shangai Film Festival 2007.
Gena Ellis - SCSFe 2003
Gena's film Angela's Decision won several awards in 2007 including the Ron Tibbet Best of Show at the Tupelo Film Festival; Gold ACS Award for best drama from Australian Cinematographers Society, and many others and is currently being considered for a TV series in the UK.
Mike Farris - Sunnyvale, TX - SCSFe 2003
Mike's feature script Tsunami has been optioned by Boyington Studios in Santa Monica and two others have been optioned by Centrifugal Films in Los Angeles. His screenplay "The Catch" advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Nicholl Fellowships and his screenplay "Paradise Lost" finished in the top 15% at Nicholl Fellowships.
Debra Hardy - Denton, TX - SCSFe 2004,2005 & 2006
Debra's screenplay "Made With Love" advanced to the Quarterfinals of Scriptapalooza.
Mara Legrand - Durango, CO - SCSFe 2001 - 2006
Mara's film Heart and Soil was chosen to play at the 8th Annual 2007 Santa Fe Film Festival and has also played at the Durango Film Festival and the Taos Mountain Film Festival.
John Unger Zussman & Patricia Zussman - Portola Valley, CA - SCSFe 2005, 2006
John & Patricia placed as runner-up in the Writers on the Storm screenwriting competition. Their screenplay "TRIO" has been named a finalist in Creative Screenwriting's AAA Screenplay Contest.
