Larry N Stouffer
   SCSFE
   Founder / Executive Director

   Staff

Biography
Since founding SCSFe, Larry has become a quarter-finalist, semi-finalist and finalist in a number of screenwriting competitions. His writing hit the big screen as co-writer and Associate Producer for the dramedy Junkyard Ghost (Lee Majors). The Council on International Nontheatrical Events awarded Larry a Cine Golden Eagle for his doc Where Do The Children Play? In other documentaries he directed George Kennedy in Justice and the Art of Gentle Outrage, John Forsythe in Would We Not Long For the Fair? and Henry Fonda in the award-winning The Big Yellow Schooner To Byzantium.

Larry's screenplays, Rising Star - a family drama - along with Horror High - The Remake, (Larry directed the original cult-classic Horror High) - a campy horror script - and A Message for Martinez - action/adventure - are all projects seeking funding (novel, eh?). A co-writing project, Dance Magic, is set up at a fledgling production company in Florida to be produced.

Larry has sold three feature screenplays, two of which have been produced. He is currently writing a hybrid genre (drama/action) spec screenplay where a tragic mistake made by a young boy puts his grandfather's life in jeopardy.

Screenwriting Symposium Events
Seminar   All The Things I've Learned About Screenwriting That I Think You Oughta Know
Seminar Description: In this primer for beginning, emerging and intermediate screenwriters you will discover what it takes to write a professional, sellable screenplay. Discover the thrill of writing visually and meaningfully. Larry's seminar will emphasize the look (the craft) and the feel (the art) of a screenplay. If that screenplay is just a gleam in your eye, a first draft, or you are struggling through your first re-write, you will leave this 90-minute experience with a better understanding of the world of screenwriting and what it takes to succeed in it. Have your questions ready. Larry might have an answer or two.

The Hollywood Connection Events
